Besides a rigourous personal analysis, which the most important condition to practise psychoanalysis, theoretical work is also a necessary part of the training. Here in Ghent, my theoretical work takes place in the context of the "Vormingsinstituut voor Psychoanalyse" and the "Gezelschap voor Psychoanalyse en Psychotherapie". The ongoing theoretical and clinical training includes conferences, seminars, "cartels" (theoretical work in small groups), supervision and personal reading of psychoanalytical literature.
